The Big Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.
— Henry Miller

So I had bought a Sony a7s and really wanted to try it out when some friends of mine invited me out to a bachelor party in Bangkok. This video is just me playing around with the footage and some new color grading techniques using LUTs. I hope y'all like it.

What I think I learned:

This chance to go to Bangkok happened to be a pretty spontaneous trip for me and I almost whimped out. I mean, going around the world for the first time alone kinda gave me anxiety but eventually I was like, "Fuuuugg it, let's go!" I'd like to thank Allen and Joe for the extra push.

You know, only doing things that make sense is what traps us into mediocrity. Instead, do shit for no reason. Do it with an open mind. You will never run out of unique experiences in this world so don't handicap your life by living according to a "plan". Fuck the plan.

Go do something and then come back home and be like.."I liked that. I met cool people and shared experiences with them. I might've grown. I'd like to do more of that." Then, get to work so you can do it again.
"Work to live. Don't live to work."

A super special shoutout to the homie, Thai Tony, for treating me like family out there. He took me anywhere, let me take his luggage back and even gave me taxi fare going to the airport! Love you, bro! You are true royalty!
